Nihola Big

Following the great success of the Nihola Basic model – with over 1,000 bikes on the streets of Europe –, the Danish bicycle inventors have brought a brand new development onto the market: the BIG model.

You can easily fit up to six children in this agile yet stable vehicle, and there’s still room left for extra luggage. The BIG can handle a load of up to 100 kilos.

As with other Nihola models, the driver of a BIG can keep a constant eye on the kids. The children are placed back to back on two comfortable wooden benches and safely belted in. The front wheels are concealed in covered housings, so the kids can’t get their hands caught in the spokes.

Even stormy weather can’t spoil the fun, because there is also a tried and tested Nihola rain hood for the BIG model.

But to really appreciate what a quality bike the BIG is you have to take it uphill. As well as the 7-speed hub gear, you have at your disposal a Mountain-Drive gear system (made by Swiss company Schlumpf Innovations) that doubles your low gears at the press of a button. It makes pedalling noticeably easier even with a full load. The planetary gearing is built into the bottom bracket and simulates large chainwheels.

Ideal for nursery schools, child-minders or multiple-children families, Nihola BIG is the solution for those who don’t want to use a car.
